Our bigger competitors (Staples’ EasyTech, Best Buy’s Geek Squad, etc) charge flat-rates, and their prices can look deceptively inexpensive. But, often there is a catch. If you’re considering these services, please ask them how many of their small services need to be performed to get you back functioning normally. Often the a-la carte pricing will end up costing much more than you initially expected. We have customers explain to us every week that they went to a competitor, and they got overcharged (especially in comparison to our prices.)
Our rate is $80 an hour for in-home or in-office service. Our carry-in flat fee is $80 per machine. Our rate doesn’t change. If you have 10 computers, and want a volume discount…we’re sorry. Our rate is firm, despite the situation, as we can prove to you our service is a bargain. Charging by the hour for in-home/in-office service calls allows us to do a substantial number of “small” services in a very short period of time. Since we multi-task, you end up which a much smaller bill than you may have had if we broke up the service call into pieces, and charged for each piece.
The majority of our on-site service calls are less than two hours. 97% of our invoices have been $120 or less (as of June 26, '09).
